Jayme Coleman - Kea I don’t know how many times I have watched this now, but I never get tired of seeing it! I can’t thank you enough for capturing a beautiful and special day in such an amazing way! You work is beautiful, working with you was so easy and wonderful and we are so happy with everything you’ve done! Your pictures are the perfect reminder of an amazing memory! You have captured the day exactly as it felt…relaxed, intimate, beautiful…almost perfect…thank you!

neonv mag- dandy shoot

I have been horrible about keeping up with my blog this year. Between weddings and my growing belly.. I just fell behind. This was the very first shoot I did with The Ladies Of neonV back in February.  These shoots take me back to where I start, which was more on the fashion/commercial side and not families, weddings and babies.  I very much enjoyed spending the day with these ladies and I’m happy I have had the opportunity to work with them more over the summer.

Jitu - OH! It took me a while to figure out what that 2nd pitcure in the top row is! So cute!I have also been busy with lots of facials. Is a good thing. When baby is born I think you should take a photo of him every week by your brick wall, just as you are doing while he is baking. Will be even more lovely and fascinating to watch.Louise

Damn it, I love film!

When I started really getting into photography back in 1995, the only option around was film. All through college… film. Right after I graduated, digital entered the scene and the industry never turned back. I swear i was one of the last people to make the switch and while it was quick and it was cool, I never felt the same way about it. Now since I have revisited shooting film over the past 2 years, I wish I could go back to it 100%. film handles highlights and shadows so much better than digi and I very rarely have to do any tweaking (photoshop) afterward. Don’t get me wrong, digital has some major advantages BUT it’s never had my whole heart.

This picture below was shot with a medium format Bronica 645 ESTR with Fuji 400H film. No post production and it’s freaking AMAZING!
