When I started really getting into photography back in 1995, the only option around was film. All through college… film. Right after I graduated, digital entered the scene and the industry never turned back. I swear i was one of the last people to make the switch and while it was quick and it was cool, I never felt the same way about it. Now since I have revisited shooting film over the past 2 years, I wish I could go back to it 100%. film handles highlights and shadows so much better than digi and I very rarely have to do any tweaking (photoshop) afterward. Don’t get me wrong, digital has some major advantages BUT it’s never had my whole heart.
This picture below was shot with a medium format Bronica 645 ESTR with Fuji 400H film. No post production and it’s freaking AMAZING!
Crystal Adams - i cannot believe this is no post production. Film is amazing. Some things are just worth the wait…no? I love how warm this photo feels.
