It is very rare that we have beautiful, not completely freezing, January days here in the DC area. Thank goodness the weather decided to cooperate for me this weekend. The morning started out a little windy and a bit chilly but who cares with the crazy sunny blue sky we had. About halfway through our session it warmed up a little more but… maybe that’s because I was running up and down the stairs at the National Harbor. If you have never been to the National Harbor first thing in the morning, go! It is quiet and beautiful and on a day like yesterday, perfect views of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and Old Town Alexandria. Anyway, I had a great time photographing Melanie and Dewey yesterday! Oh and thank you so much, Dewey, for smiling even though you were feeling very under the weather! I hope to see you guys soon!

Monday, November 7th, 2011Hama and Rheanna
Monday, November 7th, 2011After a very rainy September, we could not have asked for better weather on this first Friday in October. Hama and Rheanna decided to have a small intimate wedding with about 20 of their closest family and friends. Beautiful Meadowlark Botanical Gardens was the perfect setting for a fall wedding. After the ceremony in the gazebo, they went straight into the first dance to Eric Benet and Tamia’s “Spend my Life With You”. Afterwards we all headed over to Chef Geoff’s in Tysons Corner, VA for the reception. I enjoyed being a part of this loved filled, beautiful wedding.
Enjoy!
A Beautiful Fall Wedding
Sunday, October 23rd, 2011After having a ridiculously rainy September and cool sunny wedding day in October was more than welcome!
Here are a few pictures from Hama and Rheanna’s beautiful day!
She said YES…. Melanie and Dewey
Monday, April 18th, 2011What a beautiful Sunday to witness such a beautiful moment. I was so excited when Dewey called to ask if I would take pictures of him proposing to his girlfriend! Um…. heck yeah! What girl doesn’t like a good love story and I would get to photograph it!
The staff at The Hillwood Estate Museum and Gardens was so great and I think every single staff member was in on the surprise! When all was said and done, Melanie was very surprised and I think even more surprised to see 2 photographers and a videographer jump out of the bushes! LOL Dewey did and AWESOME job putting this special day together. Congratulations to you both!
My wonderful in-laws
Saturday, December 18th, 2010Over Thanksgiving weekend, my in-laws celebrated their 34th anniversary. My husband, James (my son), and I drove down to Jacksonville, Florida for the holiday week. Thanksgiving with the family was a lot of fun. Lots of mojitos, Phase Ten, Dominoes, and football! Saturday was their actual anniversary, so that afternoon I took them out for a photo shoot on the boardwalk. Meanwhile, my husband, brother-in-law, and his girlfriend stayed at the house and prepared a surprise dinner for the happy couple. I am not the best liar, but I had to pull out all the cards to keep my in-laws from wanting to go home to early. I don’t think my father-in-law was too happy about me wanting to make a ton of extra random stops! Anyway, the evening turned out great and they really enjoyed the food and the company!
Congratulations on 34 years happiness and I pray you have 34 more!
